en Efficacy of Soft and Hard Stabilization Splint Therapy as a Noninvasive Treatment for Temporomandibular Joint Disorders Aims : To evaluate the efficacy of stabilization splint therapy as a non-invasive treatment for temporomandibular joint disorders and to compare the effectiveness of soft and hard stabilization splints therapy. Methods :the initial literature search identified a total of 130 articles from Scopus, PubMed, and Google Scholar. Following the removal of duplicates, 101 articles remained for further consideration. After screening titles and abstracts and applying the inclusion/exclusion criteria, 15 articles were selected for inclusion in this systematic review. Finding: Findings confirm soft stabilization therapy (SST) as a viable treatment option, with both splint types demonstrating efficacy in alleviating TMD symptoms and improving jaw function. Notably, soft splints provide immediate comfort and pain relief, proving beneficial for short-term management, while hard splints excel in long-term symptom control, particularly for bruxism and severe cases. Conclusion: The choice between soft and hard splints should be guided by individual patient needs, TMD etiology, and treatment duration.
